How to have more confidence
I struggled pretty much all my life with how to have more confidence. I mean I was never a real popular guy in school, sure I had lots of friends but I never really learned to how to have more confidence in myself. I have always been the type of person who wears his feelings on my sleeves and that’s not a good thing if you’re looking for how to have more confidence at work or confidence in your relationship.
Stop Comparing Yourself To Others
One of the best ways to have more confidence in yourself is to STOP comparing yourself to others, yes I know I am preaching to the choir here lol, but it’s so true, we all take a look at someone else’s life and think we could be so much better if we had what they had, or are doing what they are doing. This is possibly one of the worst things you can do.
Use Caution With Your Language
One of the things that I have learned from a great mentor and friend of mine Ray Higdon is to stop the negative talk and to change my language. You see one way to have more confidence in yourself is to start changing the way you think. The Law Of Attraction is real concept, if you focus on how broke you are, or how your life is so bad, or you have no friends, etc., then you are going to attract those things into your life. Don’t believe me, just try it, I highly suggest you watch the movie The Secret if you’ve never watched it.
Start An Exercise Routine
Another great way to have more confidence in yourself is to begin to workout. Exercising will make you feel better about yourself, give you more energy and encourage better life choices and a better attitude. It truly makes you feel refreshed and alive. Exercising helps your body to produce endorphins. Endorphins are chemicals in the brain that make you feel good. A portion of our confidence comes from how we feel in our own skin, how we think we look and how healthy our body feels inside. Confidence is a mind and body state. I know personally that after my wife had went through so much in her illness working out kept my sanity, I am being serious, I struggled with PTSD after all we had been through and it truly helped me and I don’t think I would be where I am today if I had not of started taking care of myself. You can check out my story in the about section of this site.
I know you’re thinking what does that have to do with it, well TRUST ME what you put into your body matters in every aspect of your life. Nutrition is so crucial in you health and well being. Poor diets may encourage depressive feelings. These negative feelings only drop self-confidence. Do your best to stay away from frequenting antibiotics, processed foods and high sugar and carb diets. If you are eating healthy, you will increase your mood toward all things, including yourself.
Last but certainly not least, one of the best ways of how to increase your confidence is to read, invest in courses that uplift you in every way of life. You see we have lived in a society where it’s tough and people can be mean, negative, etc. If we are surrounded by that stuff all the time we will be just like them. You must read daily and take care of you mindset and protect your mind, so many have a limiting belief and they want to tear you down also. I always say misery loves company, I don’t know about you but I have been to blessed to be miserable. Investing my personal development is on e the best things I have ever did for myself. Find a good book such as the Bible which is the best PD book in history or they’re are so many books that you can read to help in this area. I know that the book You Are A Badass is a great confidence booster, don’t mind the title and it does have a little blunt language to I, but it’s a great book to read.
